Job description

We are looking for a responsible Police Officer to maintain law and order, protect members of the public and their properties, prevent crime and improve citizens’ quality of life. The goal is to achieve community safety and crime reduction through Community Oriented Policing.

Responsibilities

  • Deter crimes and assure community through high-visibility policing
  • Patrol assigned areas and monitor activities to protect people/property
  • Investigate crimes and apprehend suspected law violators
  • Observe and respond to various situations or emergencies
  • Follow rules, guidelines and protocols
  • Conduct initial investigations
  • Gather evidence and ensure successful prosecutions
  • Produce internal reports and provide feedback on case status
  • Deal with case paperwork and administrative procedures
  • Foster good public relationships and liaise with community groups or individuals
  • Coordinate operations with other emergency services
  • Attend and provide evidence in court

Skills You'll Acquire

  • Proficiency in using police equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of standard operating procedures, judicial procedures, civil and constitutional laws
  • Working knowledge of interrogation techniques and scene management

Positions Available:

Police Officer - Non Certified or Certified

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 21 years of age or older
  • No Criminal History
  • Able to get South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy Certificate if not Certified Officer in the State of South Carolina
  • Valid SC Driver's License.
  • Able to pass a medical physical
  • US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US
  • Able to pass a polygraph, psychological test, credit check, and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Pass Pre-Employment Interview

Pay:

Uncertified starts at $45,344 and will increase to $49,920 once you complete FTO (Field Training) Training.

Certified Officers Salary is based on experience.
